Natalie Layne is a Master of Public Health Candidate at Benedictine University in Illinois. She graduated from the University of Illinois at Chicago with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and a minor in Chemistry. She then went on to graduate from the University of Illinois at Chicago College of Dentistry with a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. Natalie practices dentistry in the public health sector for underserved populations.

As a healthcare provider pursuing knowledge in public health, I look through a dual lens to find ways improve my community. Working in a community health clinic has shaped my goals in that I want to use my education to discover population health needs, create programs and promote health.
