Family Tree Adoption Program (English)

FATP

FAMILY TREE ADOPTION PROGRAM

The Family Tree Adoption Program® (FTAP) is a grassroots program that will provide free native trees or shrubs to private homeowners in Prince George’s (PG) County, Maryland. The program will help green our communities by increasing tree canopy, which in turn will improve air and water quality, community aesthetics, and provide benefits for years to come.

Residents from across communities in PG County will voluntarily adopt native trees or shrubs of their choice, and obtain free support from tree experts on how to plant and care for these trees in their private yards. Residents will take 100% ownership of these trees/shrubs forever. FTAP will bring resources worth thousands of dollars to the members of our communities.
