DESCRIPTION:It’s been said that OVERWHELM is an indulgent emotion. \nDefinition of indulgent: “done or enjoyed as a special treat or pleasure” \nThink about that. When I feel overwhelm\, if I’m really honest with myself\, there’s an amount of needing others to see the work I’ve done or how hard I worked at something. There’s also a feeling that I should be rewarded\, with love\, a cookie\, or special treatment. \nYou may feel differently. But\, this is the work that I thoroughly enjoy and am immersed in everyday…becoming liberated and empowered by healing and integrating past negative patterns and limiting beliefs\, so that I can thrive and live in alignment with my Soul. \nThis is NOT another workshop that teaches you to incorporate different practices\, affirmations and strategies into your busy life. This 3-hour workshop will help you get to the reason why overwhelm keeps being created in your life and how to HEAL the original CAUSE that tends to create the feeling of overwhelm. \nAlthough\, you may look successful\, you feel an energetic imbalance in your relationships and career and find yourself focused outwards (obligation\, people-pleasing\, doing\, giving\, protecting\, feeling guilt)\, so much that you’ve forgotten who you are and what your own needs are. \nDo you find yourself saying these statements\, relating to your relationship… \n\n“She is more masculine than I am and I’m a man.”\n“He’s not stepping up. These qualities can become out of balance. \nUnbalanced Masculine – aggressive\, jealous\, very egoic and reactive\, cocky\, arrogant\, untrusting\, possessive\, insensitive\, aloof\, aggressively controlling. \nUnbalanced Feminine –  needy\, aggressive\, submissive\, enabler\, pleaser\, untrusting\, suspicious\, passively controlling\, avoids confrontation\, overly emotional/reactive\, victim “poor me”\, creates drama. \nWe have been accustomed to living in what might be called a “wounded masculine society”. Men seeking guidance in the form of a healthy masculine template to emulate in this world may feel lost and unsure of themselves and the direction they should head to. Some men chose to lean more into their feminine energy and lose touch with the inner divine masculine\, for the sake of feeling at peace and loving. There’s a false sense of balance created for men. Women have felt “out of alignment” or stressed due to constant masculine energy being expressed. Within the past two decades\, decision makers in the region have also become increasingly cost-aware\, paying more attention to the cost-effectiveness and budgetary impact of healthcare\, as well as patient perspectives. Heavy discussions on resource allocation and rapidly growing use of health economics and outcomes research (HEOR) for supporting evidence-informed policy making are now prominent in the region. DESCRIPTION:Advancing the Role of Higher Education Institutions in Attaining the Health-Related Sustainable Development Goals​\n\n\n\n\nBACKGROUND \nHigher education institutions (HEIs) play an important part towards the attainment of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The activities that HEIs actively contribute include: conduct of translational researches influencing health policy and monitoring; shaping the educational landscape; and providing knowledge and skills development to inspire solutions to the unique social\, environmental\, economic and health challenges of our time. \nHEIs are not only limited to its relevance in teaching and research\, but are also important key players in mobilizing and fostering networks and partnerships between various agencies\, from government and policymaking bodies\, non-government and social organizations\, industries\, think tanks and entrepreneurs both at the local and international level. \nOBJECTIVE \nThe 53rd APAPCH Conference aims to provide an avenue to open up discussions regarding the opportunities and challenges in attaining health-related SDGs\, fostering dialogues and discussions\, encouraging sharing of information and resources\, and promoting collaborative activities among stakeholders to discuss public health concerns and plans and strategies to support the achievement of SDGs for health. \nOUTPUT \nThe main outputs expected of the conference are as follows: a concrete plan of action that can help HEIs to support the achievement of SDGs; fostering networks and collaborations across member institutions both locally and internationally; and information dissemination through a conference proceeding published in a scopus-indexed journal.

Research tells us that a good relationship between doctor and patient not only improves communication and understanding\, but actually influences treatment outcomes. In this lecture\, Dr. Stegall will discuss the current research on the doctor-patient relationship\, and provide advice for patients on how to strengthen that relationship with their doctors.
