DESCRIPTION:It’s been said that OVERWHELM is an indulgent emotion. \nDefinition of indulgent: “done or enjoyed as a special treat or pleasure” \nThink about that. When I feel overwhelm\, if I’m really honest with myself\, there’s an amount of needing others to see the work I’ve done or how hard I worked at something. There’s also a feeling that I should be rewarded\, with love\, a cookie\, or special treatment. \nYou may feel differently. But\, this is the work that I thoroughly enjoy and am immersed in everyday…becoming liberated and empowered by healing and integrating past negative patterns and limiting beliefs\, so that I can thrive and live in alignment with my Soul. \nThis is NOT another workshop that teaches you to incorporate different practices\, affirmations and strategies into your busy life. This 3-hour workshop will help you get to the reason why overwhelm keeps being created in your life and how to HEAL the original CAUSE that tends to create the feeling of overwhelm. \nAlthough\, you may look successful\, you feel an energetic imbalance in your relationships and career and find yourself focused outwards (obligation\, people-pleasing\, doing\, giving\, protecting\, feeling guilt)\, so much that you’ve forgotten who you are and what your own needs are. \nDo you find yourself saying these statements\, relating to your relationship… \n\n“She is more masculine than I am and I’m a man.”\n“He’s not stepping up. These qualities can become out of balance. \nUnbalanced Masculine – aggressive\, jealous\, very egoic and reactive\, cocky\, arrogant\, untrusting\, possessive\, insensitive\, aloof\, aggressively controlling. \nUnbalanced Feminine –  needy\, aggressive\, submissive\, enabler\, pleaser\, untrusting\, suspicious\, passively controlling\, avoids confrontation\, overly emotional/reactive\, victim “poor me”\, creates drama. \nWe have been accustomed to living in what might be called a “wounded masculine society”. Men seeking guidance in the form of a healthy masculine template to emulate in this world may feel lost and unsure of themselves and the direction they should head to. Some men chose to lean more into their feminine energy and lose touch with the inner divine masculine\, for the sake of feeling at peace and loving. There’s a false sense of balance created for men. Women have felt “out of alignment” or stressed due to constant masculine energy being expressed. DESCRIPTION:Linking HEOR Research\, Evidence\, and Patient Needs for Decision Making in Asia Pacific \nHealthcare systems in the Asia Pacific region are facing significant challenges dealing with depleting resources\, and rising demands and healthcare costs. The COVID-19 pandemic has further exposed inequities and long-standing vulnerabilities of health systems\, and prioritization and rational use of scarce healthcare resources has become even more important. Within the past two decades\, decision makers in the region have also become increasingly cost-aware\, paying more attention to the cost-effectiveness and budgetary impact of healthcare\, as well as patient perspectives. Heavy discussions on resource allocation and rapidly growing use of health economics and outcomes research (HEOR) for supporting evidence-informed policy making are now prominent in the region. DESCRIPTION:The Canadian Association for Global Health (CAGH) is delighted to announce that the 28th Canadian Conference on Global Health (CCGH 2022) will be held from November 21-23 2022. This year’s conference will be taking place at the Hilton Toronto in downtown Toronto. CCGH 2022 will be presented in a hybrid format and offer both in-person and virtual access. \nCall for Abstracts\nThe CCGH invites abstracts for oral presentations\, posters\, workshops\, symposia\, and videos to be presented in a hybrid program! Submissions may address any global health topic\, but must relate to the conference theme and at least one of the sub-themes below. \nTheme: Towards Inclusive Global Health: Research & Practice Priorities in Uncertain Times\nThe uncertainty of conflict\, climate change\, economic and/or financial crises\, and pandemics\, continues to call for attention and resources that will redress the inequities that exist along the continuum from local to global\, within and between countries. \nThe COVID-19 global pandemic has upended life for people everywhere and has highlighted the dramatic uncertainty of our times. Pandemic experiences have exacerbated the negative and differential impacts of already unpredictable environmental\, political\, social\, and funding landscapes. Health inequities and exclusion remain deeply entrenched in our systems. With growing calls to decolonize global health and attention paid to equity\, diversity\, and inclusion\, global health researchers and practitioners must channel attention towards inclusive rebuilding. How do we achieve meaningful inclusion in our research and practice in ways that will advance global health while creating and promoting opportunities for authentic partnerships and diverse leadership? How is inclusion considered and reflected while building stronger\, decolonized spaces? \nThe uncertainties that emerge from climate change\, poverty\, growing inequalities and health emergencies have pervasive impacts on communities and people who are already marginalized and disadvantaged. The impacts of such uncertainties reverberate across societies and are experienced in all countries around the world. \nCCGH 2022 will provide a platform to revisit and re-envision policies\, strategies\, and practices with the aim of identifying barriers and bottlenecks that may hinder the attainment of inclusive global health and Universal Health Coverage goals. \nWe invite workshops and presentations that delve into our theme of how we achieve Inclusive Global Health.
