When the ideas that led to the foundation of GHEP was muted, it sounded like a pipe dream, but when the dreams materialized, it continues to amaze how the organization is working within the community changing lives and minds.

Mission and Core Principles

MISSION

GHEP’s mission is to eliminate inequalities in health and education by building a coalition of local people determined to solve local problems in United States and around the world.

Here are our 4 pillars of corporate commitment:

  • Transparency: to operate an open and transparent organization;
  • Integrity: to implement ethical and responsible programs;
  • Accountability: to operate a financially and programmatically prudent organization; and
  • Continuous Learning: to focus our programs on the best evidence available from continuous learning.

GHEP is recognized as a 501 (c) (3) public charity by the U.S. Internal Revenue Service (IRS). Donations to GHEP are fully tax-deductible as allowed by law. We will issue you a receipt for donations that we receive from you. Our Employer Identification Number (EIN) is 45-2977882. You can check GHEP’s charity status by clicking here on IRS website. About GHEP

We’re a bunch of local people solving local problems: GHEP addresses all aspects of health and educational disparities affecting the most vulnerable individuals and populations in our communities, especially those that are historically known to experience disparities in health and education outcomes, namely the poor, underserved, women, children, minorities, and new residents.

We’re building foundations for the future: When we eliminate education and health inequalities in our local communities, we build solid foundations for educational achievement, individual and community empowerment, optimal health, poverty eradication, and sustainable human development not only for the present but for future generations. We’re passionate about eliminating health and education inequalities because regardless of who you are–white or black, male or female, rich or poor, local or abroad–inequalities are not good for any of us. And that’s why we believe that collectively, we can all work towards eliminating inequalities which are barring some members of our society from setting their hands on the key to a prosperous future and lives well-lived.
