# Global Health and Education Projects (GHEP)

> Eliminate health disparities by addressing the non-medical factors that influence health outcomes.

GHEP is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit based near Washington, DC. The organisation designs and delivers grassroots programs grounded in community needs, scientific research and a Social Determinants of Health framework, covering family wellbeing, environmental health, education and public health training.

## Programs

- **Greater Prince George's Diaper Bank**: provides diapers to low-income families.
- **Family Tree Adoption Program (FTAP)**: a community greening initiative that pairs families with trees to plant and care for.
- **Health & Environmental Education**: schools and community education on health and environment.
- **Public Health 360 Fellowship**: a 3-month training program for emerging public health practitioners ($850 tuition).
- **Healthy Heart Program**: cardiovascular health initiatives.
- **Health Education & Literacy Portal**: an online health literacy resource.
- **Research Center**: applied research grounded in community partnerships.

## Impact So Far

15,000 people reached, 3,000 diapers shared, 450 trees planted, 7,500 families engaged and 35 cities covered.
