The Tree ReLEAF Program provides funds to civic, neighborhood, community and homeowner organizations, libraries and local municipalities in Prince George’s  (PG) County, Maryland, to plant native trees and shrubs in public or common areas. The program also provides a hands-on opportunity for County residents to learn how to properly plant and care for trees and shrubs in common areas.

Under the program, community members receive assistance in selecting tree planting locations and developing a tree planting plan and post-planting maintenance schedule. Upon completion of services, the applicants receive reimbursement for applicable expenditures up to the amount permitted by the program.

Program staff from PG County’s Department of the Environment in partnership with the Low Impact Development Center will provide technical support and programmatic assistance to communities to successfully apply for the program.

The first step is to complete an intent to apply form to indicate your interest in the program.
